About Drye Fire Consulting

Built from Field Experience

Drye Fire Consulting was built on experience earned in the field, guided by technical discipline, and shaped by a long view of what it takes to do fire alarm work the right way.

With 26 years in the industry and NICET Level IV certification, founder Chris Drye brings a career that began in installation and advanced through design, coordination, project management, and system certification.

That ground-up experience shapes how every project is approached, with care, clarity, and respect for the systems that protect life and property.

Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial Experience

Drye Fire Consulting works across commercial, institutional, and industrial environments. Projects include business spaces, schools, hospitals, multi-family properties, manufacturing plants, and government facilities.

Assignments range from small conventional installations to large networked and voice systems in high-rises, medical campuses, assisted living and memory care facilities, smoke evacuation systems, stair pressurization systems, and other environments with demanding life safety requirements.

Services Provided

Services include fire alarm design, code assessments, submittal and drawing creation, project management, consulting, and AHJ coordination.

Each design is built on the foundation of NFPA codes, local ordinances, and the understanding that plans must work where they land in the field.

Systems and Code Expertise

Systems experience includes Siemens, Edwards, Kidde, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, Honeywell, and Mircom.

Code expertise includes NFPA 72, NEC 70, Ohio Building Code, Ohio Fire Code, NFPA 92A, and UL 864.

Representative Project Experience

Representative projects include Kettering City Schools, Stratacache Tower, Premier Health Partners, Dayton Children’s Hospital, The Greene Town Center, University of Dayton, Dayton Art Institute, Dayton Metro Libraries, Phantom Fireworks, and government and military work.

The Standard Behind the Work

Across projects of every scale, the standard remains the same: clear design, solid coordination, disciplined execution, and respect for the role a life safety system holds within the building it protects.
